Costume Director and Extraordinary Professor of Theatre Arts

Kellie Grengs is the Costume Director for the Department and as Extraordinary faculty teaches a variety of courses. She oversees all aspects of costume design, construction, hair and makeup, and hand props for the Department productions.  Over 60 of her designs have been on the Loyola stages and dozens in the New Orleans area, both on stage and screen.

She is an avid photographer and her work is in several local publications including “St. Charles Avenue” and “Southern Glossary”.

Kellie is a founder/board member of the Freret Improvement District with a mission to improve quality of life for neighbors and visitors to the Freret area. As the Development Director of Zeus’ Rescues, she secures funds to fulfill the mission of eradicating euthanasia of companion animals in our region. Both are non-profits in New Orleans that benefit our community.
