The Preparatory Music Program serves as the preeminent preparatory music program in the metropolitan New Orleans area, offering a structured program of music studies in piano, guitar and string instruments. The Preparatory Music Program provides the community with life-long learning opportunities for professional music study and enrichment activities in an academic environment.

The Ballet Preparatory program is a frequent sponsor of auditions held by professional ballet companies and schools from outside the geographical area. It is also a rehearsal site for Komenka Ethnic Dance Ensemble, a local ethnic music and dance ensemble, which performs at Loyola. Komenka also participates in the Loyola Ballet performances and tours internationally.

The Loyola Ballet Summer Intensive is a college level curriculum geared for students in grade 10 through college. Presented courses include Ballet Technique and Pointe; Men’s Work; Ballet Technique and Variations; Character Dance Technique and Repertoire; and Partnering.
Back this year is the Loyola KidsArt program. KidsArt is a two-week program that is art history based and provides authentic hands on experiences in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture. Classes are held Loyola Universities Art Studios. The program concludes with an art exhibit for family and friends. Kids aged 7 years (finished first grade) through 14 years are eligable to attend.

The artwork of Keith Haring comes to Loyola's Diboll Gallery
