Loyola Jazz Festival
Celebate and learn Jazz at Loyola with the Loyola Jazz Festival
Each year in March, the Jazz Studies program at Loyola University New Orleans presents the Loyola Jazz Festival. The festival features concerts by the Loyola Faculty Jazz Ensemble and the Loyola Jazz Band featuring a guest artist.
The festival is open to large or small elementary through junior college level ensembles. A panel of four expert musician/educators will judge the groups and offer constructive comments on how the group can improve performance techniques. Participants in the festival attend workshops provided by Loyola jazz faculty and guest artists/clinicians.
