University Ballet Program

Express yourself through the classics.

Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced student, our ballet program is a moving experience. Train in classical dance under the direction of Laura Zambrano and take a step closer to a life long appreciation of dance.

Once you’ve achieved advanced level, perform with the Loyola Ballet in the restaging of classics and new works created by guest, alumni and student choreographers.

You can also pursue a minor in ballet, offered to students who have had extensive pre-college dance instruction and performance experience. To obtain the minor, in addition to appearing with the Loyola Ballet, you must have taken a dance history class, as well as the choreographed and presented an original work.

Minor in Dance

  • Students perform classical, character, contemporary, and jazz works with Loyola Ballet.
  • Other requirements include a course on the history of dance, as well as the choreography and presentation of an original work.
