Ballet Prep Class Requirements

The syllabus taught in this program is based on the Vaganova method which is used in the major schools around the world. This training is a progressive system which takes each movement from its simplest to its final form. To attain this technique it is essential that you strive to attend all lessons.

Class Attire

Pre-Ballet:

  • Girls - Mirella Children's Camisole Dress M201C2 (pale pink leotard with attached skirt), pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.
  • Boys - Black biker pants, white tank top shirt, white socks, and white canvas ballet shoes.

 Basic:

  • Girls – Mirella Children’s Dress M201C2 (light blue leotard with attached skirt), pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.
  • Boys –  Black biker pants, white tank top shirt, white socks, and white canvas ballet shoes.

Intermediate:

  • Girls –  Mirella Children’s Dress M201C2 or Adult Dress M201L2 (garnet leotard with attached skirt), or Mirella Leotard 207L (garnet leotard), pink tights, and pink ballet and pointe shoes.
  •  Boys –  Black biker pants, white tank top shirt, white socks, and white canvas ballet shoes.

Advanced:

  • Ladies – Any color sleeveless leotard, wrap around skirt, pink tights, pink ballet and pointe shoes. Optional practice tutu, black or beige character shoes, and black character skirt.
  • Men –Beige dance belt, any color tights or biker pants, white T-shirt or tank top, white socks, white canvas ballet shoes, and black jazz shoes.   

Please have the fit of all new shoes checked by the teacher before wearing them.

All students are required to securely fasten their hair off of the face and above the nape of the neck before class begins.
