Preparatory Ballet Program

Quality training in the Vaganova style

Under the direction of Gayle Parmelee, the Loyola Preparatory Ballet Program offers noncredit classes for students 5 years of age and up at levels ranging from beginner through advanced. Classes in partnering, pointe, character, and men’s work are offered. These classes are also available to university students and alumni.

Classes run both fall and spring semesters September 2009 - May 2010

Fall 2009 registration is:
August 19–21, 4 – 6 p.m.
August 22, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Registration fee: $20 (new students only)

  • Pre-Ballet: 5 and 6 years of age
    Class Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Saturday
     
  • Basic Level:  Beginners – 7 to 11 years of age
    Class Time: 4:30 – 5:45 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday
     
  • Intermediate Level: Previous training – 10 years of age and up
    Class Time: 4:30 – 6:00 p.m., Monday and Wednesday
     
  • Advanced Level: 14 years of age and up
    Class time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Tuesday - Ballet Technique
    Class time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Thursday - Pointe/Men's Technique
    Class time: 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., Saturday - Partnering
     
  • Character Class:
    Class Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., Wednesday
