Become a Theatre Student

Students interested in majoring in Theatre Arts can choose one of two tracks:
- an emphasis in acting
- an emphasis in the business and technical aspects
An interview with the Theatre Arts admissions committee is required for both tracks.
The 2009-2010 Audition/Interview dates are:
- December 5, 2009
- January 16, 2010
- February 6, 2010
- Private auditions by appointment only are available during the President's Open House on Saturday, April 10, 2010.
To schedule your audition on one of these dates, you must fill out an audition/interview/portfolio application.
The requirements for each:
Acting Audition
- Audition for students interested in performance
- 3 minute monologue
- Monologue may be contemporary or classical, and dramatic or comedic.
Theatre arts portfolio review
- Primarily for students interested in design, technical theatre, or management.
- Portfolio should consist of the presentation of any design/technical experience and/or any drawings, crafts, paintings, prompt scripts, or photos.
Minors in theatre arts and dance require an audition and/or interview.
