Minors

The Department of Theatre Arts and Dance offers two minor programs.

Minor in Theatre Arts

  • Designed to prepare students for work in professional or community theatre.
  • Must have at least a 2.0 GPA in Theatre Arts courses in order to graduate with a minor in Theatre Arts.

Minor in Ballet

  • Students perform classical, character, contemporary, and jazz works with Loyola Ballet.
  • Other requirements include a course on the history of dance, as well as the choreography and presentation of an original work.
  • Educates the student on the selection of music and costumes and the choreography of movement, but also teaches him or her about the technical aspects of a production such as lighting, sets and sound, and budget management.
