Dr. Donna Clavijo is a freelance collaborative pianist/vocal coach/educator, active in both classical and musical theatre organizations including New Orleans Opera, Le Petit Theatre, Jefferson Performing Arts Society and Loyola University. She earned her masters from Loyola University in Piano Performance in May of 2002 and a Doctorate in Collaborative Piano from Arizona State University in May of 2007. She toured with Arizona Opera in 2006 as Music Director of the Arts Educational program. She has held teaching positions at Loyola University and the New Orleans Baptist Seminary and maintains a private studio in her home for both piano and vocal students. Her students have received awards in local, state and regional competitions in both voice and piano. She is a past president of the New Orleans Music Teacher’s Association and is affiliated with the Louisiana Music Teacher’s Association, NATS and the American Guild of Organists. Dr. Clavijo is also the Sacred Music Director/Organist at St Georges Episcopal Church in New Orleans.
