Musical Theatre Organization

This organization brings together students with an interest and passion for Musical Theatre. Whether it be performing or simply just watching shows, members come together to share a love for Broadway. Activities include viewing movie musicals, attending live performances and learning about community theatre opportunities in the area. The group also puts together performance series, which are themed shows, Some past shows include: "Valentine's Day show"," Classics show," and our "Dancing show." We perform for each other: songs, monologues, and even hold occasional dance workshops.

The Organization is always looking for performance opportunities within the area; it seems like we will just get up and sing for anyone! Participating proves to be both a learning experience as well as a time of leisure and relaxation. None of the members are required to perform; if some just want to sit and absorb information, they may. However, it provides much needed practice for performance majors, especially concerning auditions that we will have to go to in the future. Currently the Musical Theatre Organization boasts 20 members, meeting once a week.
