Short Bio

Dr. James MacKay has numerous years of experience teaching music theory courses. His research focuses on formal and performance practice issues in Classical keyboard music, and the analysis of early music, especially the sacred vocal music of William Byrd, the subject of his doctoral dissertation. He has been with the College of Music and Fine Arts faculty since 1999.
