Loyola Opera Theatre presents: Ravel's L'enfant et les sortileges.
The composer's masterful 1925 score is a perfect match for French writer Colette's play about a selfish, badly behaved child. In response to his tantrum, household objects come to life and talking animals scold him, but ultimately teach him wisdom and compassion for all creatures. Claire Shackleton directs and Carol Rausch accompanies this charming one-act opera.
