Carlie Trosclair ’08 (visual arts) was one of three artists selected for the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis’ Great Rivers Biennial 2014. She will receive $20,000 and an exhibit in the museum’s Main Galleries. Alive magazine in St. Louis writes: “Her work aims to bridge the gap between the human body and the built environment by re-creating and manipulating existing spaces. Using pliable and decorative materials, such as fabric and wallpaper, she creates new topographies and narratives through site-specific interventions in abandoned domestic spaces.” Trosclair has exhibited at the Siena Art Institute in Siena, Italy; The Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, California; and 6612 Art Space and The Luminary Center for the Arts, both in St. Louis.
